The Bulgarian official qualifiers for the World Sushi Cup in Tokyo, Japan. The first-of-its-kind event in the country that combines training and competition at a world-class level. Sushi players from all over the country will demonstrate their skills for the opportunity to represent Bulgaria at the World Sushi Championship. Sushi Cup Bulgaria 2025 will be held between June 16-18 in Sofia, under the patronage of the World Sushi Skills Institute - the world's leading sushi skills organization.
Sign upThe event is divided into two parts - training and competition, giving Bulgarian sushi masters the opportunity to acquire the "Sushi Proficiency" qualification, issued by the World Sushi Skills Institute.
For the second year, the instructor and jury member will be Master Gentaro Yamazaki.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants have the opportunity to participate in the BULGARIAN SUSHI CUP competition and compete for the title of "Best Sushi Master of Bulgaria", as well as for the chance to represent the country at the World Sushi Championship in Tokyo, Japan.

BULGARIAN SUSHI CUP 2025
To be admitted to the Sushi Cup Bulgaria National Qualifications, you must have the 'Sushi Proficiency Certificate', issued by the World Sushi Skills Institute (WSSI) worldwide association.
Training for the 'Sushi Proficiency Certificate' is a two-day advanced course led by Master Gentaro Yamazaki.
*After completing the training, students are not required to participate in the National Qualifications.
Training cost: 1,500 BGN.

Sushi Cup Bulgaria 2025, organized under the patronage of the World Sushi Cup, is the national qualifier for the World Sushi Championship in Tokyo, Japan.
The competition gives the best sushi chefs in Bulgaria a chance to compete for the title of 'Best Sushi Master of Bulgaria' and represent our country on the world sushi scene.
The skills of the sushi chefs will be tested in several stages: technique and precision of cutting, preparation of traditional Sashimi and Edo-Mae Sushi and individual sushi sets, allowing the participants to demonstrate not only technical skills, but also creativity.
According to the regulations of the World Sushi Cup, only sushi chefs who have successfully completed the 'Sushi Proficiency' training from the World Sushi Skills Institute can participate in the competition.
